June 2012: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – Aggreko, the world leader in temporary power and temperature control services, has been selected to provide power and cooling solutions to a major United Nation’s (UN) event on sustainability: the Rio +20, held in Rio de Janeiro from 13-22 June 2012.
Rio +20 will be held in a number of locations across the city, including Riocentro, the city’s biggest convention centre. Aggreko has been asked to provide power and temperature control to cover the 100,200 sq metres of Riocentro space being used for the event. In keeping with the underlying theme of Rio +20t, Aggreko was asked to run its generators and cooling equipment using biodiesel.
Aggreko’s specialised technicians will be on site 24/7 to ensure the smooth running of the equipment.
